Job Duration: Full Time Permanent
Our client is looking to add a Structural Engineer to their team. A growing and innovative company, their work is changing the way structures are designed and constructed throughout the Midwest. Managing 4-5 projects at a time, this role requires an approach that considers more than just design. In this role, you will perform engineering design of products to meet structural requirements, economics, constructability and quality.
Leading projects in various stages of design, fabrication and erection
Searching for means to reduce the cost of projects while meeting the expectations of customers
Performing duties of the engineer in “responsible charge” for the structural design and detailing of products supplied
Creating calculation packages and preparing for submittal
Provide engineering support to quality control, plant fabrication and erection functions and processes
Mentoring Engineer EITs and interns
Conducting and supporting site observations to support resolution of issues.
Provide support to sales and estimating teams as needed including reviewing drawings, preliminary designs and technical support on sales calls
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
5+ years of experience as a structural engineer.
PE certification required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the structural discipline, familiar with IBC, ACI, ASCE7 and AISC codes
