Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations, the Zone Vice President is responsible for overseeing the development and operational execution of approximately 40 stores within a geographic area. The ZVP leads a team of regional managers and field business partners to achieve the financial and profitability plans for the Zone through leadership and execution of strategic marketing plans, revenue management strategies, operating standards, expense controls, and talent management. The ZVP works closely with all company leadership to ensure stores operate within the company standards and drive best in class practices, as well as provide feedback to cross-functional business partners about market needs and solutions. Key Job Responsibilities: Provide overall direction to improve store operations within assigned Zone.

Plan and implement zone level initiatives to increase sales while controlling operational costs.
Identify trends and forecast store sales and budgets while staying abreast of competitive initiatives
Conduct regular store visits to best monitor all aspects of the business, and utilize the various measurement and reporting tools available (daily sales report, shrink report, customer service scores, etc.)
Continuously analyze Zone to assess market changes or trends, personnel changes or relationship needs, and revises business plan (visits, training, etc) accordingly.
Work with Regional Managers to manage Profit & Loss and assist them in analyzing the factors that impact each line item
Motivate and lead a high-performance team; maintain staffing, training, and development to ensure programs are being executed and monitored for success
Develop and execute actions that ensure an engaged employee base and culture focused on guest experience and sales
Ensure maximum profitability through the execution of short and long term operational strategies
Lead change within the Zone for all aspects of the business.
Requirements:

Minimum of 15 years of work experience in retail operations management and retail merchandising
At least 10 years’ experience leading a multi-store organization to include, but not limited to recruitment, training and directing these teams to profitable and growing sales
The previous restaurant, hospitality or retail general management experience including, but not limited to: interviewing, selection, retention, supervision, development, evaluation of employees and responsibility for sales, gross margins, labor and profits
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written
Ability to apply sound business acumen and principles; including retail sales understanding and P&L responsibility
Proven ability to develop and retain top talent
